LISA WYATT - BA, DipEd, RadTC (Dist), TCRG
Lisa trained from a young age in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Irish Dancing. She then pursued her keen interest for media and production through a degree and worked as an editor. Lisa started Kick in 1995 and it has grown into a thriving Dance school that has enjoyed much success in all the genres and produced many professional dancers. Her experience in dance, teaching, choreography and productions has spanned more than 25 years. Lisa's personal love of Dance comes through especially in her enthusiasm for small children, introducing them to the passion for the Arts that has shaped her life.
Charmaine trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Irish Dancing in which she held State and National titles.
Charmaine’s professional career has spanned many productions such as Sesame St Live, State of Origin, dancing with Kylie Minogue at Mardi Gras and the elite dance cast in Baz Lurhman’s film ‘Moulin Rouge’. Char was also a dancer and character ‘Pirate Charlie’ with The Wiggles. Charmaine’s background in choreography has been integral to all of Kick’s performances and competitions. Her attention to detail and demands on dancers to ‘bring out their best’ has ensured a very high quality of dance education and performance at Kick. Char is also a current Kick Dance mum to Connor and Felix.
Paul Paddick (BMus, DipPA Theatre)
Paul has a Bachelor of Music majoring in classical voice at the South Australian College of Advanced Education and a Graduate Diploma of Performing Arts in Theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
While in his last year at WAAPA Paul successfully auditioned for the role of Diesel in Victoria State Opera(VSO)/ International Management Groups production of ‘West Side Story”. He also played the role of the Robber King in the VSO production of ”Don Quixote” (all in French). Paul filled in for Anthony Wiggle (the blue guy) for 5 weeks of an Australian Wiggles tour and since then has played the role of Captain Feathersword entertaining children in America, Canada, China,Singapore, the UK, New Zealand, South Africa and Italy.
Adrian Walker (TCRG/ADCRG B.Ed./BCI)
Adrian was the QLD State and Australian National Irish Dancing Champion.
Adrian has toured internationally with Michael Flatley’s ‘Lord of the Dance’, and was selected to create and perform in Michael Flatley’s ‘Celtic Tiger’. Adrian retired from his professional dance career after performing in the arena spectacular ‘Feet of Flames’.
Adrian completed a degree in Education and Creative Industries (with honours and distinction) and has had experience working with students in Primary and Secondary schools. He is a qualified Irish Dance Adjudicator (ADCRG) and has had the pleasure of adjudicating local feisanna, interstate and overseas championships.
Kim has danced for as long as she can remember and been teaching for nearly as long as that. Dancing from the age of 4 she started teaching at 18 years old.
Always choreographing, she has worked with dance and cheering squads throughout her career including the NBL and NRL cheer squads. Highlights include choreographing the Brisbane Broncos cheer squad for 6 years, the Brisbane Spartans dance squad for the past four years and being the head choreographer and base coordinator for the Stefan Awards for four years.
Kate Muntz is one of the original Kick babies and after 9 years of working professionally overseas, she has come home to Brisbane and is returning to Kick Arts to share her knowledge of the industry. Kate trained with Kick until she left Queensland to attend full time training at The Edge in Melbourne. There, she completed her Certificate III in Dance Performance. After performing professionally around Brisbane including being part of the Broncos & Bullets cheer squads in 2005, she landed her first contract with Carnival Cruise Lines. Over the 9 years working for CCL Kate was cast to perform in many brand new original productions for the company, became Dance Captain in 2009 & most recently has been working alongside John Tartaglia (Original Broadway cast of Avenue Q) & Michael Shawn Lewis (Gables Grove Productions, NYC) to install a brand new children’s show around the Carnival fleet.
Jamie Manton - (RAD: RTS, ARAD)
Jamie trained at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence (QDSE), and the National Theatre Ballet School (NTBS) in Australia. During her training she was awarded the Most Improved Dancer and the Contemporary Award (QDSE), and the Dance Medicine Australia Award for Advancement (NTBS). In Australia, Jamie has worked with Melanie Crowe Dance Company, Melbourne Dance Theatre (now Victorian State Ballet), Melbourne Opera and performed in numerous other commercial engagements. Travelling to Europe she worked with Les Ballet Persans (Sweden), Compagnia Danza Viva (Italy), Rambert Youth Dance Company, and as a soloist with Vortice Dance Company (Portugal). Jamie taught on the faculty at Escola de Artes-Centro do Artes e Espectaculos in Figueira, Portugal before returning to Australia in 2011. After prematurely returning from her dancing career, Jamie was able to pursue her love of teaching by completing her Professional Dancer's Teaching Diploma (PDTD) at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, graduating with a Distinction in 2013. The Academy has since regularly invited her to teach at their International Summer Schools held in New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, China and Malaysia. Jamie's own professional training and experience along with her dedication to providing a safe and full-filling learning experience, allow her to continually inspire and foster her students' individual growth and enjoyment of dance.
Daniella has had all of her early training at Kick Dance starting at the young age of 4 years old. She has completed an Advanced Diploma of Musical Theatre at DLDC. Daniella was one of three female dancers chosen out of 600 by Abby Lee Miller from hit TV series ‘Dance Moms’ at the master class and audition on the Gold Coast, and was invited to the USA to dance at her boot camp. She has been a Spartans dancer for 2 years and a Broncos Junior for 3 years while also starring as a head dancer at Stefans awards nights.
